5 digit here! been playing for 3 years and havent noticed any improvement. I cant even get a 300 pp play after all this time being a 5 digit. Should i just quit the game or do i need to play 9 hours a day ?

i digress on the first point as its improved my flicky aim and calm aim in valorant but 🤷‍♂️

I’m still 7 digit (nearing 6) and it’s good to know I’ve been doing things right. Also, I noticed my sniping in Cold War and other games is way better after a session of Osu, just saying.

Before I took a year break from osu, I (a 6 digit) have beaten a 7 star map and was so damn happy about it, now after the break, I’m close but not quite there yet, so now I kinda have to relearn a lot and what I’m definitely doing right now is switching up between jump and stream maps to learn both and stay consistent in both, it has helped a TON, before I took a break I couldn’t stream for the life of it but right now I’m actually way better at streaming than I used to be

learn from my mistake. dont use some wierd pen grip that causes excessive strain. I had 2 months back on 2020 when i started to get good with a tablet and i pushed myself to play higher speed maps and I injured something in my hand to the point I cant play on a tablet anymore with causing a lot of pain.

Ive been playing stream or like speed maps since i mainly started as streams were the most dominant skill for me and i'd say that the biggest thing that helped was noticing how fluid ur tapping is, ive experimented differently such as using mainly my fingers or then also sort of adding wrist movement into motion with the fingers alternating which really did make a huge difference especially because how fluid it felt to tap so yeah that alone got me out of a huge skill wall

Tip 2 it entirely personal preference and rotating between a larger pool of maps improves your reaction time and ability to read. More than that however it's about mentality, and if you can understand and still feel good about progress while not giving a fuck if you've actually pushed your pp. The real tip here is do what you want while pushing yourself and don't be a slave to pp while doing it. You'll always see raw progress on warmup maps anyway. If you don't have warmup maps you'll be more injury prone by jumping at something you shouldn't out of the gate.

tbh, when I started playing standard for the first time. i immediately grinded a 4 star song. wasn’t the best of ideas, but i did get a pass on it. i grinded high 3 stars instead and noticed amazing improvement. i played the 4 star again and had a lot better acc than the first time i played it. it was a couple months ago and i can pass 6 star songs now.

Osu does improve ur aim. It helped me

There are some monitors with a high contrast mode, which can make reading AR 11 much easier. Also try old Osu 4 star maps like DJpop maps. Helped my reading a lot i was able to get 95% on HWs deconstruction star.

does these tips apply to osu!mania too?

no mention of dragging vs. hovering? its kinda hard to drag on a mousepad...

How do I train spaced streams? I can hit them with overstreaming almost everytime but when I do acc I can hit it too but it is very rare, so I almost always miss and die on spaced stream when I try doing SS, my hand is like moving faster and slower, faster and slower, on that spaced streams, my hand just can't keep one good speed perfect tempo flow to aim it or it is very difficult lol

Also I can deathstream 5,000 combo on 190bpm, but when I tried play triples, I lost stamina (my fingers gets tired) like after 50combo is it normal? Yes I do good acc

can you name the exactly mousepad you are using that feels good (or talk in the video)? like I have one from corsair its: CORSAIR MM300 Pro Extended and it just doesnt feels smooth, I would prefer to use mousepad instead of stickers on my table since it is too much work to order new one, remove old and apply new each month lol

As for the reading ability linked to refresh rate, their is a lot of examples of top players who got good at osu with shitty setups (mrekk, nyanpotato, bonk and parakeet are the ones who come to my mind right now) so even if refresh rate caps your reading ability, it definitivly does'nt stop you from improving at it (sorry for my bad english)
